What do I bring to swim lessons?
There is a bathroom and changing area at the facility. The changing area is limited, so we ask that if you are comfortable coming and going in your swim suit and robe or swim parka, that you do so.
You will need to bring:
- towel
- swim suit
- goggles
- Happy Nappy Duo swim diaper if not potty trained
- you may choose to wear a swim cap to help keep goggles in place
- hair tie for hair longer than the bottom of the ear
What reusable swim diaper should I use?
We require that any families with a child who is not potty trained bring a Happy Nappy Duo to swim in.
We have chosen this swim diaper due to its amazing design. It does two things that help keep any poo accidents contained and safe for everyone.
- the unique design keeps poo in the swim diaper until the swimmer is out of the pool and the swimmer is able to get changed
- the lining has silver in it. This design actually helps contain more unhealthy bacteria including cryptosporidium
- reusable swim diapers help our environment! Having reusable swim diapers helps keep more diapers out of landfills.
- disposable diapers leak contaminants into the water if poo happens
